§ 46-77. Term.

(a)

A certificate of public convenience and necessity issued under this division shall continue in full force and effect so long as the holder continues in the operation of the taxicab business in the city in compliance with all of the provisions of this article, subject to the provisions of this article relative to revocation of the certificate.

(b)

The license required by this division shall be valid for a term of 12 months following the date of issuance.

(c)

The applicant shall, at the time of making application, pay a nonrefundable fee in the amount of $15.00 to the City of Shelby for the processing of the application.

(d)

The cost for renewal of a taxi permit will be $10.00 and shall be payable at the time of renewal on June 30. Drivers will also be required to obtain a new permit each time they change employers.
