§ 46-45. Accidents.

  • It shall be unlawful for the driver of any taxicab to move the taxicab or cause the taxicab to be moved after a collision or accident involving such taxicab until such driver has first reported the accident to the police department and a police officer has arrived at the scene of such accident and authorizes the removal of such taxicab. After the accident has been reported and a report taken, the driver must report the accident to the taxi inspector within three working days after the report is taken. A taxicab damaged in an accident shall be immediately ordered out of service by the inspector and shall be repaired before again being placed in service.
