§ 44-120. Purpose.

(a)

The purpose of this cross-connection control division is to define the authority of the city as the water purveyor in the elimination of all cross-connections within its public potable water supply.

(b)

This division shall apply to all users connected to the city public potable water supply regardless of whether the user is located within the city limits or outside of the city limits.

(c)

This division complies with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (PL 93-523), the North Carolina State Administrative Code (15A NCAC 18C .0400), and the North Carolina State Building Code (Volume II) as they pertain to cross-connections with the public water supply.
