§ 36-72. Composition.

The appearance commission shall consist of 14 members to be appointed by the city council for terms of three years each; however, the initial appointees shall be appointed for staggered terms. Initial appointees and their terms are outlined on Exhibit "A", attached to Ordinance No. 4-2010. A 15th member shall be a representative of the Uptown Shelby Association. All members shall be residents of the city's area of planning and zoning jurisdiction or the extraterritorial jurisdiction areas (ETJ) at the time of appointment.
