§ 28-3. Interlocal cooperation.

The chief of police is authorized to negotiate with other localities for intergovernmental mutual aid agreements regarding police protection pursuant to G.S. 160A-288 and 160A-460 et seq. Any agreement shall be effective upon approval by the governing bodies of the participating localities.
